Jose Mourinho insisted Paul Pogba is happy to be back at Manchester United following France s World Cup victory, despite reports linking the midfielder with a move to Barcelona and Juventus.
Pogba played a crucial role for Didier Deschamps triumphant side in Russia, and the 25-year-old star returned to United training on Monday ahead of Friday s opening Premier League fixture of the season against Leicester City.
LaLiga champions Barca are reportedly interested in taking Pogba to Camp Nou, with the transfer window still open until August 31 for most of Europe s major leagues, while former club Juve have also been linked.

Former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane delivered a withering assessment of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford following Everton’s Premier League defeat by title-chasing Manchester City.
The 29-year-old was given little chance by Ilkay Gundogan’s stunning first-half strike, but was unable to keep out Erling Haaland’s header seconds later and was well beaten by Gundogan’s second-half free-kick as City won 3-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
Analysing the third goal, Keane, who has questioned Pickford’s credentials in the past, disagreed with fellow pundit Micah Richards’ opinion of Gareth Southgate’s number one.
Micah said before the game he s a top goalkeeper – he s not.

Frank Lampard hailed Jorginho for his leadership qualities and confirmed the midfielder will replace Ross Barkley as Chelsea s first-choice penalty taker.
The Italy midfielder scored from the spot in Chelsea s 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday after Mason Mount was fouled by Adam Webster inside the box.
Jorginho was back on spot-kick duties a week and a half on from Barkley missing a crucial penalty in the 1-0 Champions League defeat to Valencia.
Lampard stood by Barkley following that miss but he was also overlooked on Wednesday as Pedro stepped up from 12 yards in the 7-1 win against Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup.

Tottenham ended a three-match Premier League losing streak with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa, Son Heung-min playing a decisive role in both Spurs goals.
Spurs had lost their previous three league games by an aggregate scoreline of 9-1 and another defeat would have seen them reach a 17-year low, but Nuno Espirito Santo s men got the job done despite the temporary disappointment of being pegged back by Villa.
Harry Kane was unable to end his dry spell despite going close from the halfway line, meaning he has gone six league games without a goal for the first time in six years.
But Son set up Hojbjerg for the first-half opener before providing the ball that Matt Targett turned into his own net under pressure from Lucas Moura for the winner, with Ollie Watkins having…

Atletico Madrid are the toughest possible opponents that holders Barcelona could have drawn in the Champions League quarter-finals, according to board member Javier Bordas.
The two La Liga rivals met in the last eight of the tournament in 2013-14, with Atletico prevailing 2-1 on aggregate en route to a final defeat by Real Madrid.
Barca won last season s competition, but Bordas does not think they could have been handed more difficult opposition at this stage of the competition, despite the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and rivals Real Madrid being in the hat.
I don’t think there was a tougher opponent, said Bordas. They are the side who defend better than anyone.
